Re: Windows XP to Receive the Penultimate Update of Its Life

the market share might go up even higher if you include the number of atm machines that run xp. so-called 'helpful' warning popup is basically spam or nagware. the information you will most assuredly be given should you make use of the migration help - "your hardware is outdated, to make full u...

Re: Apup Error v1.4.38 For Windows 2008 R2 64-bit

Dear Sir, Errors are in APUP - the Autopatcher Updater program such that I cant download release.list & check the current version of all updates. Please look in the matter of APUP & not in AutoPatcher itself. Thanks. autopatcher 6.1.3 has apup code built-in, autopatcher v6 is becoming both ...

Re: Latest Microsoft News articles

what motivated me to build a new system around linux mint instead of windows 7 or 8 for a friend is the fact the latest microsoft ceo has stated microsoft will spend most of its time focusing on mobile devices and the cloud, this has caused some concern for desktop users, and should. they offered a ...

Re: Help with making release official

This XP VM is used exclusively for autopatcher, it has no other software installed since day 1. I don't think it's a virus issue. This is a little bit long and complicated, but here's what I did. The XP OS crashed while running APUP during the 1.8GB of downloads. So I decided to just start over, bu...

Re: Help with making release official

I ran sweeper with the /verbose switch. I allowed it to delete files. Sweeper+verbose.log I then ran autopatcher and the following was displayed: I am running apup 1.4.38 right now and will post the results afterwards. if this is the release from your...

Re: Help with making release official

Okay, I took an educated guess at which .rti files equate to the unofficial modules. (Displaying the corresponding filename in the UI in a future release might be helpful). I just renamed the 3 .rti files temporarily. Autopatcher now shows that there are no unofficial modules loaded, but still repo...

Re: Help with making release official

I've never really taken the time to figure out why my releases aren't marked official. When I run the latest autopatcher, attached is the output for the loaded releases. It is not obvious to me how to identify which directories/files need to be deleted in order to make the release official. looking...

Re: AutoPatcher XP SP3 (x86) Updates

ENU install to PTBR Windows? No errors will occur? i would figure this should fail, enu (english, united states) is different from eng (english, united kingdom). ptbr (portuguese, brazil) is not the same as ptpt (portuguese, portugal). i would test your theory by just double-clicking an 'enu' updat...
