Re: Help with making release official

As an occasional maintainer of the scripts as well as the programmer of the tools, I make it a point to keep each script download in its own folder as well as have an AIO folder for such an occasion. I will update them and get back to you on this issue. edit: I just updated XP x86 and vista and they...

Re: AutoPatcher Windows 8 (x64) Updates

Wac do you still have the 8.0 script? Might be useful to leave up in the download list or have a separate list since I am going though this issue now where it won't let me upgrade a laptop to 8.1 without first updating 8.0. and the windows update function on the laptop is retarded. It will only upda...

Re: APUP 1.4.38 does not even start from shared folder on XP

Could be the change in using dll files. I have been cutting out un needed dll files and the os might have recognized a change in dll calls. I know that my Firewall will notice this and bring up a box saying something is weird. As to renaming the beta apps with a "b" or something... I actua...

Re: Help with making release official

Looking at the log you have a lot of miss matched hashes... that is the bulk of the downloading. Did you have some kind of virus or HD issues? I suspected a virus due to it only effecting exe's. Then again the part of the sweeper that identifies those problems is new and could be wrong. Once apup is...

If its not an extra file... its a missing file. Apup should download it unless the file is no longer...

Re: Help with making release official

Rename the rti files back to what they should be. Then run sweeper. Sweeper will get rid of extra files. I am guessing that is your issue. Sometimes when the scripts are updated and files are removed we forget to place a delete command in the script to remove that extra file. Also just took a look a...

Re: APUP 1.4.38 does not even start from shared folder on XP

For a short term fix... yes. Just point the older version to the new location. huh... no logs ehh? So you could be failing somewhere in the environment check or system folder checks. I will bump up the log creation function call to as close to program start as I can and we will see if we get anythin...

Re: Apup Error v1.4.38 For Windows 2008 R2 64-bit

Ok try running Autopatcher with /debug switch. In cmd console (as admin) type "autopatcher.exe /debug" without quotes or place that in a batch file. Then post the log here. Autopatcher may do a better job at finding it since, it has more updated detection code. That and it will list the di...
